Coffee
Industries Limited, founded in 1976, is a privately-owned,
first generation Jamaican company that roasts,
packages and distributes a line of 100% Jamaican
Coffees. The two major products of the company
are "Jamaica Mountain Choice Coffee"
and "Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee"
which are produced under the brand name "The
Coffee Mill of Jamaica". |

|
The
company procures all supplies of green bean
coffee from the government-owned Coffee Industry
Board which is responsible for collecting,
grading, sizing and cup-testing all Jamaican
coffee. This body also licenses all roasters
and certifies export shipments as to quality
and authenticity. |
| |
|
Coffee Industries Limited pioneered
the export of roasted Jamaican Coffee
in 1979 and currently continues to market
its products through a number of distributors
within the U.S.A. The company has built
a strong reputation as a consistent
supplier of top quality Jamaican Coffee
and is now recognized as a major force
within its domestic market. |
| |
During
1986, the company embarked on a programme
to upgrade and modify the packaging
of its product line. With this programme
completed, the company embarked on an
aggressive international marketing programme
aimed at gaining more widespread distribution
for its products. |

In
recent years we have re discovered the
benefits of Jamaica Mountain Choice
coffee by experimenting with new ways
to enjoy it. In 1989 the company made
a decision to widen its product base
thereby satisfying a broader consumer
market. Further
diversification occurred in 1990 with
the emergence of the flavoured coffee
market, we are now producing a line
of flavoured Jamaica Mountain Choice
coffees. |
